No, junior cricket is around the same price as other kids sports such as AFL, rugby, soccer and touch.

The club works hard each season to keep costs down.

  • We do this by attracting great sponsors, fundraisers and lots of volunteering. There are no paid jobs in our club.
  • All our merchandise including playing shirts, caps, and hats, are all sold on at cost. We make no money on these items.
  • Other initiatives include having the U10s use their free training shirt for games thereby saving the parents having to buy a playing shirt.
  • And all equipment is provided for U10s by the club so parents do need to outlay on equipment until their child moves up to U11s and above.
  • We also provide generous family discounts for 3 or more players.

We also keep registration costs as low as possible. In fact this season the club fee was reduced to try to offset the increase from the other organisations that we have no control over. They include: Cricket Australia (CA), Cricket NSW (CNSW) and Hastings River District Junior Cricket Association (HRDJCA)

Basic cricket equipment includes: pants, shoes, bat, gloves, pads, helmet and personal protector for males.
If you are getting kitted up for the first time or looking for new equipment, talk to our friends at Intersport and let them know PMCC sent you.
If things are a bit tight and your child is keen to play, please give us a call as we have quite a range of second hand equipment we can help you with.

    Progress from backyard to superstar

The Woolworths Cricket Blast program has been designed to engage and empower kids up to 10 years old of all skill levels and abilities, unleashing their potential through fun, game-based activities. Kids (and parents) will gain the necessary skills and knowledge to progress through the program to junior cricket and beyond! Our #1 aim is FUN!

Parents, you can also jump in!

Woolworths Cricket Blast is the perfect opportunity to spend some quality time with your kids, and you might even learn some new cricket skills along the way. Plus, getting you involved can make a positive impact on their enjoyment, skill progression and overall achievement. So, what are you waiting for? Let's get in the game and score some runs together!

The under 10's is the perfect introduction to the game of cricket. It is the natural step up from Cricket Blast to where the kids get to play a real game.

Under 10's games are a short format of 12 overs per team. The game is generally over in 75 minutes and they can join a team to play on Friday evenings or Saturday mornings.

We try to keep the costs down by:
    * providing a free training shirt that they can wear for their games
    * providing each team all the equipment* they need to play their game

[Parents do need to provide a protector for male players]
[Parents can of course purchase gear for their kids if they would rather use their own]

*Equipment provided includes: Wickets, balls (junior soft type), bats, helmets, pads, gloves

The club is run exclusively by volunteers. Every parent can help in small ways and this makes the big job easier on everyone.

There is always room for parents on the committee. In fact we are still looking for a vice-president so if you are able to help with the decision making and working through the season start tasks, this will suit you.

You can also assist on game day with coaching, team manager, scoring, erecting the gazebo, bringing cut up oranges, etc. The kids love seeing their parents involved and it makes them proud to be playing with you there.
